INGREDIENTS

Slice the oranges and juice the lemons. Mix them with the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil over a low heat. Let simmer for about an hour. Remove the spices from the mix. Allow to cool slightly before serving with orange wedges.

Zest the orange and juice it. Pour this orange juice into the pot. Add the bottles of wine and the spices into the pot as well along with the orange zest. Slowly add all the spices into the mixture while bringing to a boil. Add the brown sugar and stir well to dissolve. Once hot, keep it simmering at a low temperature for an hour. Add more brown sugar if required and serve hot.

 

SWEET MULLED WINE

Add zest of lemon, lime and orange into a pot with the honey. Heat until you get a syrupy mix. Add in the different spices and grate in the nutmeg. Slice the vanilla pod and add it into the mixture. Slowly pour the wine and allow it to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer gently. Serve hot.
